Adieu!

What a Night!

A night for good friends

To celebrate the crowning achievement

Of their handiwork.

On a storied, far-off isle

With a view overlooking Her sandy shores

Each sat to reminisce fondly

The memories of events that seemed to have taken place

Only the day before.

“Does it not feel like it was only yesterday we all arrived here…”

She asked the crew.

“How true…”

One replied.

For only the week before

They all sat in unison

Tip-tapping away on their keyboards

And now, faster than anyone of them could say Jack!

It was but a memory.

They gathered

Not to exchange pleasantries this time

But to bid each other adieu!

“To your success and mine…” each said to the other with raised glasses,

What a night! What a sight!

One of great camaraderie

And of genuine love among brethren.
